Well all the MSD SCI will do right now is improve throttle response smooth out the idle and maybe help top end sparking. (which I really like. IMO) If you do get a MSD CDI then go with the MSD 6a instead of the SCI. The SCI is a 6a in a silver box. Plus I think it costs more. If there is no difference in price then get the SCI since it is a newer model. I ended up asking MSD cause I couldn't see a difference in the two models. This is from the "MSD Tech":
The 6 a and SCI are identical. You will not gain any performance one way or the other. We had a large demand for a import label so we produced the SCI box.

Really I like my MSD, I would recommend it, but don't expect huge gains. LOL!

Oh yeah, since you are replacing the cap, rotor, and the coil definetly get the MSD stuff since they will end up costing the same as the OEM replacement parts anyways.
