i was never asked what ecu i wanted with my swap, i just said i wanted a 92-96 JDM motor and i knew if they sent me the right stuff the ecu would be the right one. i have never seen a site ask for different JDM P13s for an OBDI swap.

edit:i just checked out hmotors and they sell USDM and JDM H22s so maybe they asked you if you wanted a OBDI JDM p13 or a OBDI USDM p13 which would have different programming. otherwise they should always be sending the ecu that is appropriate for the motor your buying. i'm guessing since you bought the long block only, this why they asked you. either ecu would still work.
Thanks for the input. I guess I was a bit misinformed and my long block did come with a flex plate. I hope my h22a ecu is toast cuz if not, it means the shop that installed my motor doesn't know what they are doing.
Wish me luck!
