OK....
Just info this time.
I have a 1992 Civic DX, and Im preparing to put in a D15B VTEC (The 130Hp)[Reasoning: It only cost me $275 and free shipping to replace my still good D15A7 =)]
I recieved the motor trans and ecu. To test the ecu I hooked it up to my civic... and my engine fired up no sweat... (I didnt drive it but It did rev well and such). The only problem was thst I got a check engine code (for the vtec maybe?). The engine would Idle high while cold (2500-3000RPM's) and when warm it would slow to 1250 or so.
When I swapped the ecu back everything was cherry.
So I think this means im safe to say that the P08 ECU will work on a D15bXX
Does anyone have an idea about why the idle is all fizznucked with the VTEC ecu?
Thanks for the info, and I hope this might help someone in the future.
