I have been in the process of dying my Del Sol interior for the past week or so while I wait to get an engine for it. I have half black, half faded gray interior like most Sols... the gray was really ugly looking, black looks a lot better. I used ColorBond dye... it looks GREAT, drys in about 10 minutes (though I always let it sit several hours before putting the panel back on), and it allows for some error. Paint will come out horrible if you put too much on, etc, the dye doesn't at all. Below is a pic of my rear speaker panel, top is before obviously and botom is after. The grills were painted the day before using paint... and came out pretty bad compared to the dye.
