I've been doing a 65hp jetted zex dry kit on basically the same setup as you all last season. Colder plugs are the way to go obviously. I left my timing alone, and it wasn't an issue after 6 bottles. Everyone's different; Use your judgement.

My advice is spend money on getting your tires to hook up better. I spent a lot of time either walking my Civic off the line or spinning to the 60', and it had a lot to do with tires and suspension. Adjustable struts and good street radials will help translate power into acceleration.
