:werd: You hit the nail on the head...this is exactly why I chose s/c over turbo. One guy at work has a turbo'd Civic, and when I ride with him, I notice how power takes a second to come on after you mash the pedal (of course, his car has much better top end hp). I just like the instant low-rpm pull and the general "feel" of the s/c.
Please note: in NO WAY am I trying to say s/c is better than turbo or vice versa. Both are great, both are durable; just depends on your tastes .
