haha, science vs. religion. kinda offtopic, but in my philosophy class i learned that descartes made some kind of compromise between the Church and science.

Science defies religion, much of the scriptures have been proven wrong and I made a thread about that a while back. Its down to one or the other, you can either believe what is being proven everyday in the field of science or you can believe the words of someone who none of us have met. I prefer the former because I have the resources to go out and test the theories the scientists are proving.
