To get the price settlement go in there with facts about the car and the MSRP.

Once you have that go a little above MSRP (gotta give somewhere right?) but set your highest price you will give....then set your lowest price you will give and do not go above your highest possible price regardless of what they say. Be so willing to walk away from the deal that it hurts them.

If they don't give an inch then just get up like nothing shake their hand (doing this in silence really helps too) and turn around......5 bucks says you don't even get out of the cubicle before they are renegotiating with you.

always be willing to walk away..that is most important. Another is to not show any signs that you even like the car. Make a lot of hmmph type sounds rather than groans of appreciation. The less interested you look the more bargaining power you gain.

Pick the salesman you want...I know this sounds odd and usually they rush you but tell them politely to go away and you just want to look around for a minute and if you are interested you will lokk for someone to talk to. Then look at the car and check out the salesmen.....look for the one who appears hungry they will hustle for the deal a bit more.

thats it pretty simple overall but it takes some getting used to...the most important thing is that you have to remember they are trying to get money from you which is a privelige not the other way around.
