God I hope not. My timming belt cover is actually REALLY damaged.

Previous owner had the Timming belt changed but they didn't put the cover back on right. Its cracked in many ways and my alternator belt has actually eaten through it.

Its been a good 110k since that belt was changed,

shouldn't I have eaten the motor if that belt went? I should hear all kinda of rucus?

It kept getting spark on and off as i was pulling over, finally it gave "check engine" and stalled as I came to a stop.
