205/50-14 would have a very skinny sidewall, and nobody makes a 205/55-14 aside from R-compound autocross tires. BTW, 205/50-15 is about the same overall diameter of 195/60-14.
There's a huge selection of not very impressive tires available in the stock 195/60-14 size. The only real performance tires available are the Yokohama AVS ES100 and Falken Azenis. There are some assorted all-season tires that are reasonable but not really impressive when it comes to sticking to dry pavement.
