Insurance companies charge as much as they can for whatever they can. A college boy like yourself should know that. The Type R was rare, harder to replace, and has no Kelly Blue Book value. In fact, the 03 Cobra would have been cheaper to insure than my 01 ITR. What do you know? How many R's have you bought insurance for?
VQ35DE.... oops. Wow, you really got me there. Its not like you would have known that without looking it up anyway. Too bad your mother didn't do a better job with that wire coat hanger.
I can't compare, since I never went to college. Atleast, not in the sense that you are. However, I don't see how having a car loan while taking classes is a big accomplishment. Especially when you consider you live at home with Mommy and Daddy, they support you, and probubly pay your tuition. After high school I joined the Marines. I now have a great career, a great car, an apartment, and I'm taking some college classes on the side. Now if you want to consider me as "being in college" than you're REALLY behind on the power curve. (BTW - I'm buying a house this year as soon as my VA benefits kick in.)
Bottom of the line? Thats HILARIOUS coming from a Civic owner. No wait, I forgot, you upgraded to a [laugh] Sentra. [/laugh]
You might enjoy arguing with me nub, but I simply love owning you in these conversations. I kinda feel bad, having a battle of the wits with an unarmed kid.
I thought i just explained to you how much bike insurance costs for a 20 year old, i find it hard to believe it's more for someone your age. You're also smoking crack if you think insurance companies can charge whatever they want. Shows how dumb of a consumer you are. The insurance market is regulated by the government so everyone pretty much has to stay within a certain bracket.
I had a nissan before you, and i've actually helped SWAP a VQ35DE from a blown 02 maxima, you haven't even bolted anything on to your motor. Actually have you even seen what the motor looks like under the valve cover? I've pulled one out and replaced another one (plus i've swapped a jdm SR20 into my SER making that 2 nissan swaps for me and none for you) so i think i'm ahead of you there.
I'm not dogging on the armed service cause i have plenty respect for the men and women out there putting their lives on the line so i'm not gonna say anything there. My point was, you asked how i could get a S4 and i told you from my saved up money and getting a loan, nothing special there. I pay for my car, gas, insurance, credit card so basically besides shelter (i'm moving to an apt in june) i pay for everything.
I'm also taking a full load in college and since you've never gone to school full time and worked you have no basis or experience to speak upon. I really don't see how you think you're OWNING me when i can easily go through your reply and find a few spelling errors every time such as
"Especially when you consider you live at home with Mommy and Daddy, they support you, and probubly pay your tuition."
Nice spelling i must say did they also teach you to capitalize mommy and daddy where you went to high school? Looks like you should've learned how to spell in high school since the marines obviously don't train you in that aspect. I actually feel bad picking on someone that hasn't had a formal education and is 5-10 yrs older. Maybe you need to load up on some more of those college classes.
I had a 00 Civic EX i bought brand new in high school. By the way how does it feel to be owned by a lowly civic in the 1/8 mile even though you have a huge RWD advantage and torque+a LSD *cough cough* guess it's the driver. I also bought another sentra and swapped a jdm 9.5:1 motor into it. I'm going to have an audi S4 before i graduate college and get a real job.
My point is that i'd rather not have the same career if it means i'll end up living the way you are in a few years thinking what you have is "success" while driving something barely classified as a real sports car. I'd really love to give you the dumbest chimp award but i think that one still goes to B16hatch, sorry.
