My guess is oil starvation of some sort, because the noise fades away slowly.
It sounds like it 's more than a lifter - isn't that usually more of a lighter ticking sound.

No oil loss, either.

What's Honda's stance on synthetic oil?
I know they want you to use genuine Honda everything in their vehicles.
