E)4th gen ludes are the shit. 92-95. But if you get one, make sure you get a vtec model. The h23 and f22 are basically worthless in stock form, unless you want to swap in an h22...
F) tacomas are nice trucks. My brother in law had one for 3 years, and it was nice. I just hated how the tranny always felt like it was catching into gear (even new from the factory)
G) tacomas get about 20mpg or so...
H) the sol should be getting at least 28mpg
I) a 4th gen lude should get just slightly worse mileage than the sol
J) the lude is heavier, and once people get then into the 13's, they give up, swap the entire setup into a hatch and run 11's with the same setup
K) I love my hatch because I can throw shit in it, I got it cheap, and I don't have to give a rats ass about it. PLus it gets all the harnd me downs from the sol
