Default broken wheel stud, '87 Accord

Hello all: I just signed in on this forum and must say I am impressed with the amount of helpful information available from the contributors. Great job! I've searched the listings and haven't found anything to help with my specific problem, so I figured I'd throw it out there.
I have an '87 Accord DX with a broken wheel stud on the LF wheel. I was wondering if it is possible to change it without special tools. I have a lot of mechanical experience, just not much on this specific item. It doesn't appear that the new stud will simply fit in from the back of the hub. Is there any way to make enough room to get the new stud in without having to press out the wheel bearing? I have a replacement, I'm just not sure if there are any "tricks" to getting it in. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
