The key to being a good musician is to have a wide variety of musical background, trust me listening to todays commerical music is NOT going to help. Find obscure bands and try and understand where their talent comes from. Listen to music from other countries and learn from it. If I had to live on an empty island for the rest of my life I would take Passion and warfare as one of my cds.
