to me, ricer connotes an attitude more than any type of taste. Its basically somebody who thinks his car is the shit, thinks its fast or whatever, when he really doesn't know anything about it, and hasn't really done anything to make it faster. Somebody who talks shit a lot.

I would be the antithesis of a ricer (ALL my mod money goes to performance, absolutely NONE to style, I never wash my car, my car has primer and rust and a shitty stereo) but maybe I'm just as bad, just the other end of the spectrum... :dunno:
