If she wants to stay under 200 bucks and get voice memo capability, I'd recommend the Palm Tungsten-E, but it will not connect to the Palm Universal Keyboard. :a:

When my IIIc became too slow for my needs, I replaced it with the Palm Zire71 and the Palm Universal Keyboard. I absolutely love it. I bought it when the model was about 6 weeks old, and with a 4yr extended warranty and a 32MB SD card, my total cost was about $360. Very reasonable.

For that money, you get a brilliant 16-bit color TFT display, a built-in digital camera[w/ 640x480 max res.], all the standard Palm Zire 21 features, plus MP3 playback capabilty [w/ an SD card], PalmReader e-book software, a robust processor that I believe is shared with the Tungsten-C...the SD card expansion slot.....and literally thousands of freeware titles available online.

Start at Palm's site : www.palmOne.com . They have PDF brochures and plenty of info. CNET is also another good resource...
