Wouldn't use it for a sub. You will just want the bass louder and louder. It will be great for some 6x9's etc. Most amps display the total system power of the amp. They just add up the output of each channel and post it on the amp to make it seem better than it really is. What you need to look at is the RMS/Continuous Power of each channel or the combination of channels you plan to use. This is the power that the amp will always provide at the least. Do not buy an amp according to its Peak power. Peak is the max that the amp can provide. Peak power = 1.41*RMS.
