There really isn't a difference. Some people say that the vtec hurts the turbo while others say it helps. But I really don't think it would do any harm but instead help so it's up too you. Either motor will work just fine.
on a DOHC engine the VTEC does actually cause blowby in lare boost applications, but not enough to make a noticable difference unless you're running 10+ PSI
on a SOHC engine, VTEC or not, there is no chance of blowby because when the intake valves are open the exhaust valves are closed and vice versa which makes the SOHC engine more solid in higher boost applications.
