You're just buying into the hype. For the most part there is plenty of stuff available to us here on the US market.
If and only if a particular item is only available from a JDM company then I am willing to get it. For example an engine torque brace. But once an American company decides to make one and sell it for less than the overpriced JDM piece you can be sure that I would go for the American version.
