The ONLY maintainence item in a 5 speed drivetrain are the clutch components, provided that the synchros aren't abused from harsh shifting.

You technically don't even "need" to change tranny fluid in a manual since it's considered a sealed unit, but Honda recommends something like a year between changes just to make sure no moisture is trapped in the tranny and kept there...

Manual transmissions also usually get better gas mileage.
