The only code for the GSR ECU is P72 and all 94+ GSRs have knock sensors (I have a 94 b18c1 in my hatch) You need to wire up the knock sensor. Oh yeah I asume he swapped this motor in a 92-95 civic so if that is the case then a 96+ ECU would not plug into his civic harness (since 96+ is obd2). So he has the right obd1 P72 all you need to do is wire up the knock sensor. You may also want to make sure he wired up the secondaries in the intake manifold, Its a pink/blue wire that needs to go in ECU pin out A17.
