this is kind of along the same lines, after i got my timing belt replaced and timing back to oem spec, my car started bogging (seemed like the previous owner had advanced the timing - causing pinging) but anyway, the car was bogging but after i did an oil change a few days ago, it made it less boggy. try the oil change
