I thought this was a little weird, so I consulted a retailing friend.
He says that you might have an issue with scant information on the part of the person who sold you the headers, but not an issue with DC. If the parts literature refers to fitting any B series head, it really refers just to the head, and the oil pan is a completely different story.
The DC JDM 4-1 ITR header has long been regarded as an economical alternative to the OEM JDM header, which is itself a very good buy as far as horsepower per dollar goes.
I have an SMSP system header-to-tailpipe now, but had an OEM JDM header before that, and you could definitely feel the difference.
If I thought for a second, I could think of half a dozen people who had DC JDM 4-1 headers on their cars, I'm sure.
