An MSD won't show you any gains over stock unless you're FI or heavily modded NA, and a crank pulley will inevitably lead to a cracked crank... so the pulley will definately cost more in the long run.

Don't underdrive the alt-- an ECU getting less voltage/amperage will make a slower car than one getting plenty of juice. My Sol is noticeably quicker after going from a toasted OEM alt to a 135amp unit...
