I think the US should be involved in the world around it, after all we all live on this rock, so it all makes sense for us to try to make it better. The problem I see with being the world's policeman, especially if we are the sole policeman, is that suddenly we impose what we think is right and what we think is just on other countries and cultures. It's like a cop being able to just pull you over randomly cause he didn't like the fact you drive a modified Honda, even if it is perfectly legal, just different. In that case though, you can challenge it in court, try to argue the law. But in the case of the global policeman, who's going to challenge them? The laws are whatever the global policeman wants them to be. The US needs to work with other countries, not alone.
