i no this is a dumb question but

is there any way to uncoil the coiled cord?? lol
or snap off the smart button part and connect it with straight wire?

i wanna keep that smart button thing,
direct wire w/0 smart is $15, w/ smart is $35
i spent enough on the detector... not willing to spend anymore on the accessories
