huh?
i think that a camaro, trans am, or stang with minor mods [i/e/ecu] would be far more reliable than an all out turbo civic. Turbos dont last forever. V8s, or any engine for that matter, will last a long time with basic bolt ons. our 76 chevelle malibu [me and my bro's] is lightly modded and runs 14s. The total cost of everything we spent on that car was around $3000. Sure it took alot of work to piece everything together, but it was like a learning experience anyways, and that car has been running for 2 years with no probs at all. The gas mileage sux, but we only spent 3000 on the car so we cant complain. Its been daily driven in the rain, sleet, snow and hail and still no probs. I disagree with the people who are saying that the domestic iron v8s aren't reliable. Think, who is better at maintaining a car, a guy who bought a civic, swapped a b18c/b20vtec/h22/or a similar engine in there, and turboed it himself, and saved money by doing the wrenching himself, or a guy that dropped 20-something thou on a domestic v8 and had the shop put some flowmasters, etc on his car for him.
oh yea, and skubb, telling people to lick balls or whatever and get out of the civic forum isnt nice:nono:
