Yes you do have to get an alignment. after any kind of suspension work you need to align. I droped my car with neuspeed sport springs (1.7 front and 1.5 back) The camber wear was bad. I went threw 3 sets of tires in the front and 2 in the back within 2 1/2 years. 205/40/17. alignment will help but depending on how much of a drop you might need a camber kit.
