i thought that may be a possibility but if that were true then anitfreeze would be in with the oil and vise versa. so to me it doesnt seem that it would have anything to do with the head gasket. although it may still be a possibility. im going to put it all back together and see what happens. but if anyone has any more suggestions, they would be useful. thanx
