HELP! I blew my stock crossovers in my 94 Accord ex
I have a 94 accord ex with the stock premium speakers in the doors and dash tweeters.
I was adding a second amp to boost the sound a little and had the speakers working fine with the amp turned up about half way and the built in crossoevr on the amp set to 125 high pass.
then I turned up the amp to try set it and the speakers just stopped working. Not even a CRACKLE!... I orginally thought it was my amp so I bought a new one but the same thing happened... not a sound from the door speakers... there is a slight amount of sounds from the tweeters.
I think I blew the stock crossover and understand it is built-in, but is it built into the dash, the door, the door speakers or the
tweeters?
And is it worth my time to replace it or just buy some replacement speakers and run new wires.
MY head unit is the old top of the Alpine 7390 with 6 disc changer , amp is RF punch 45 ,rear 6x9s are Alpine 30 watts rms, my sub is MTX terminator 10" in a sealed 1 cubic foot box.
The second amp that will be used for the Front is an old Jensen 100 watts rms.
