The USDM D15B7 is a nonVTEC motor with about 107 chp.
The JDM D15B is a VTEC motor with about 130 chp.

Although they are both D15, the D15B has a longer stroke and higher compression. The intake runners are a bit larger too.

It's really just the generation/model of the motor. I don't think they have as much meaning as the first 3 digits in the code.

I've never heard of a JDM D16Z6. The JDM equiv. is like the D15B or the ZC.

All JDM motors that I've encountered do not have the final digit. For example B18C, D15B, B16A, etc.
