Certain tread patterns do exhibit more road noise than others. I own a set of Falken Azenis and get considerable noise from them at moderate to high speeds.

I also find the steering wheel wanting to turn when it hits a groove in the road that's been worn down by tires. As long as your alignment is not out of spec and the car is not wondering to the left or right while driving in a straight line, I would just attribute this to road conditions, tire width, and vehicle speed.

Noisy suspension, I also have. My car is a 94 though, and I'm assuming this is just old age. Some of your bushings could be wearing out as well, as OEM rubber will deteriorate over time. May want to look at a good aftermarket set.
