its an electric relay under the dash by the hood latch release. Lemme try and explain how to test it h: :

1. take out the relay

2. the terminals look like this:

8-6-?-2
7-5-3-1

? = there is no terminal here

3. attatch the battery positive terminal to no. 6, and the negative terminal to no. 8.

If nothing happens, you need a new relay. If there is continuity, continue to step 4.

4. attatch battery positive terminal to no. 5, and the negative terminal to no. 2.

If nothing happens.... yada yada yada

5. attatch the battery positive terminal to no. 3, and negative to no. 8

If all of these connections worked, the relay is fine. If any of them didn't work, your relay is kaput.
