the H22 has high compression so i think it means less room for error. h23 or non vtec has low compression, more room for error.

H22 has the same compression as the H23 and the F22 and F23 does.
10:1 compression is standard Honda compression..there are a few engines that are 9.5:1 and a few that are 10.5:1 but its pretty standard compression and the H and F series (except S2k) are all 10:1
