Getting heavier?? man where have you been for the last few years because they are freakin tanks now compared to what they started off as. The degradation in size and weight began with the 5th gen when it went to the "big body" design which was actually quite light for all its size. Then they introduced the 6th gen...appearance wise it was smaller looking but weighed considerably more than the 5th gen did yet yielded nearly the same power as the 4th and 5th gen did
So then we get to the 7th gen...the I4 in it is still virtually the same engine but the car again weighs more than the 6th gen did but if you got the money then you can get the V6 with manual finally and finally you get some power for all that weight.
I don't hate the new generations of Accords at all but Honda really started fukking up once the 5.1 changed to version 5.2.
you still don't realize that their customer base is not people like you. It's middle class families with 2.3 kids and a dog. The new accords have been top sellers for what...10 years? Of course their cars are going to get bigger...so is every other mid sized economy car. I mean, look at the camry. Remember what it looked like in the late 80s, early ninties? It's even smaller than the modern day civic.
