Have you tried just replacing the belt? No other belts? No ac or power steering? This may sound wierd but it does work, take some WD40 and while the car is running spray a little bit on the belt and then drive it this will help dampen the noise. It could also be a bearing in the alternator. Don't know without hearing it but just thought I would throw some more ideas out.
