Yes there should be a little slack but if you want to tighten it so you'll get better responce when you step on the gas. you will need to get 2, 10mm or 12mm rench ( dont remember the size ) and put them on the two nuts and turn one clockwise and the other counterclockwise untill you get the right amount of tension. My digital camera is broke so no pix. I believe the OUTTER cable is your normal gas cable and the INNER cable is for your cruise control.
