the trick to a good security system is in the install and the amount of layers u put on to slow or even frustrate the theif so they just quit and move on but if a theif really wants ur car, they shall have it, so u have to put up a fight.

look into clifford alarms, i myself have a dei viper responder type and fully install it myself and i took the extra time that shops dont and hide the wires and ect very well, made it look very neat and hard to find. i added a club and autoloc for further assistance. more layerin options may be like fuel pump kill switches, hidden in a good place. key pad security(those keypad things where u enter ur passcode so u can start ur vehicle). look into a responder type alarm, it pages u if somethin trip ur alarm. a good brand i can recall in that field is compustar. they r awesome. good luck man.
