Is it made for specific applications?

Im looking at piggyback computers(a friend of mine runs a GT2540 turbo and big injectors with no issues on an Apex Power FC or AFC or whatever theyre piggyback is called), but the Haltech, TEC-3 etc have all been highly reccomended. My problem is, ive never really done any tuning work and dont wanna dive in head first, yet I have grand plans :happysad:
