You have found the right harness and if I remember correctly there is a two wire and a three wire harness. Jump the two wire harness with a jumper wire and turn you ignition to on. If there are any codes stored the CEL will start blinking you have to count the flashes. Long flashes are first digit and short flashes are second digit Example two long and 1 short flash is code 21 just make sure you count correctly because if you don't you might be trying to fix something that isn't broke. And yes OBD II in most makes and models doesn't use flash codes but honda and acura still do but the problem is that is will give you a say code 31 but that could be two different OBD II codes for the same sensor just different problems. So the flash codes for an OBD II will get you in the right direction but you need a scanner to narrow it down. Hope this helps
