The common way to rig an LS/VTEC is to use the stock ECU and an RPM switch to activate VTEC.

This isn't making any sense, take a look at the VIN number of your car. It is a 17 digit code that is on the front driver's side of the dash. Is the tenth digit an "M" or an "N"?
