The paint on the hood and roof of my 1990 civic was looking like
THIS. (that picture was taken after sanding) After discovering that good quality new paint on the hood and roof would cost over a thousand dollars I went to WalMart and bought some clearcoat in a can. I sanded off the old clearcoat and apply the new. It looked like
THIS when I was finished. It looked fine. However, several months later, it is starting to turn white again. What should I do to keep this car looking nice? Any suggestions? Another question I have is about the plastic exterior trim. It is also weathered and turning white. ArmorAll helps for a short time only if I apply multiple liberal coats. I sprayed some clearcoat on the piece of black plastic under the hood and it still looks great. Would it be wise to spray the rest of the trim with clearcoat? Any other suggestions on how to make the plastiv black again?
