Help me please.
I own a 2000 Honda Civic hatchback (75,000+ kilometers) with a manual transmission and I have noticed a squeaking noise that occurs when I am driving. I first noticed this on Monday January 05, 2004, so I took the vehicle in to the dealership that I go for maintenance. At the same time my regulator assembly needed to be replaced on the driver's side. When I went to pick it up on Thursday January 07, 2004, they said that they greased the cable on my gas pedal. Unfortunately, when I was driving around on Friday January 08, 2004 I began to notice when I was in enclosed places like car parks, or driving under overpasses that the squeaking was still occuring. I also noticed that it was occuring when I was starting out in first gear in intersections (I guess the noise is easier to hear from my window when I am next to other vehicles). I took it back to the shop, where they said they greased the cable line again, and told me to come in Saturday to let the service manager listen to it while I drive the car.
I don't know what it is, and I am just a wee bit stressed about it, because basically I come from the school of the mechanically declined. I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me a suggestion about what could be happening to my vehicle. Thank you.
