I figured the OEM lasted over 100k miles so why wouldn't another OEM one last as long. Plus I'm cheap. 
Plus I was already ordering a timing belt and water pump from AHmotor.com.
My OEM seal lasted like 50K before it started to leak on my LS, I guess it depends on weather and things :dunno: but I do know my STR will last alot longer than any OEM one (plus I got mine new for $14)
