So is the reason you pled not guilty because the cop wasn't there? That sucks if the judge is postponing it for another hearing to subpoena the cop, because now basically you're screwed. Best thing to do when you go back is to change your plea to guilty and hope the judge reduces your sentence. There is no way to convince the judge because the cop will say what speed he clocked you going with his speed gun.
