14 flat my ass! My cousin has a 94 Trans Am Auto (14.4 in the quarter) with intake and exhaust and he stomps on his roomates 2002 GT with an exhaust. And I have completely trashed the Trans Am on several occasions in my civic. I raced the 2002 GT in my SE and he only beat me by half a length to about 100MPH. I personally have owned a 93' Z28 (piece of **** reliability wise) and could bash modded stangs in stock form easily. I actually like the new stangs looks and interior but the previous gen stangs suck ass reliability wise IMO. It's all about personal taste but stangs are really not that fast and the handling needs much work when compared to even a stock SI, GSR, etc. Like anything else though, they have tons of potential and the new motors are much, much stronger than the crappy 5.0L. The 5.0L block is a joke. And you still must remember the power to weight ratio. And stangs are expensive to mod just like any other car. My brother in law is getting a 2001 GT on the 19th and he already has $4,000.00 saved for mods so I will let you know how his car compares to my civic once it's done. But let's not hate guys, it's all about personal taste. In my personal experience though it's the domestics that have the problems with the imports and not the other way around. My cousins roomate was really surprised that he did not completely waste my four door sedan. granted, my sedan cost quite a bit more but he really thought his muscle car was the ****. Oh, and last weekend he was stomped by a modded RSX (owned by my wifes cousin) that runs a 14.7(slow considering it has a 100 shot of NOS on top of everything else). Just about any car can be fast.
