I have the ex-mag on one car, but I have a 3in turbo back, with 20in resonator and straight-through dynomax muffler, it's not quiet.

I've had several friends ticketed under CT's new law, so I did the research in order to be prepared.

http://www.cga.state.ct.us/2003/tob/...145-R03-HB.htm

The law is full of holes, the previous law had set db limits, this one uses the term "reasonable person's judgment" at another point they say the muffler system must have baffles or "other equivalent means" of supressing the noise. If ticketed and after receiving the officers training records (via suphoena) had the officer not had implicit training in recognizing baffled/other equivalent methods, the case would have grounds for being thrown out.

My advice, check your states laws (and town ordinances if you're aware of any) and educate yourself on the do's and don'ts before you get ticketed.
