He's never there when you NEED him..
Anywho, there should be plasitc clips running around the outer edge of the door panel which are pressed into the door frame. I suggest using a sturdy, flat, metal plate about 2" wide to pry the door panel away from the door frame.
Some auto stores sell tools to do just this.
