The bumpstop sits on the bottom of the rod that sticks out of the top of the shock (sry dont know actual term)...it never touches to the car unless the car sinks down enough...which is why it's there...so that wont effect the ride height.....

I checked the spring to make sure it's sitting right...it is...

NeverBX is right, 1 3/4" actually is too much difference on a flat surface...
